JDU leader KC Tyagi stated that the party is a coalition of all classes when asked if caste equations will be taken into account for assigning Bihar representation in the Union Cabinet. However, the core group that Nitish Kumar and Karpoori Thakur established hails from extremely disadvantaged social backgrounds.
